The fork changes from the previous TFS 'D' shape with its complex internal ribbing and full-length bonded metal threaded bolt to a much simpler, sleeker and lighter 1"1/8" round tube.
We adopted a special patented eccentric headset system to pass the brake housing inside, without having to use the bulkier and heavier 1.5" bearing.
The C68 now features a revised bottom bracket, switching from our previous TF82.5 to a more "standard" and easy-to-find T47.
The system works in the same way, with an oversized bottom bracket shell and internal bearings housed in threaded alloy cups.
You can assemble your C68 with a standard BB from Sram and Campagnolo, while you can use premium products like CeramicSpeed, Chris King and many other offerings for compatibility with Shimano 24mm axles.
The weight of the frame for a raw size 485 is about 925gr, only 10gr more (935gr) for the titanium version.
The number of parts that complete the frame is the same as the previous C series (C64).
Although from an aesthetic point of view, its lines and styling may be more similar to those of a frame manufactured in one piece.
There are still some visible joints on the C68 to trace back to our root, while other joints would appear to be invisible due to the new aerodynamic design.
The new split headtube is now stronger, lighter and more customisable than ever.
The new layout allows for stack and reach variations, along with improved stiffness for a better riding experience.
The return to a round head tube allows us to put a touch of "we pedal too" into the bike.
Everyone needs, at some point, a multitool to deal with every little adjustment that may be needed during an epic or less epic ride (like a flat tyre).
So we integrated this tool into the top cap of the headset.
Just twist and pull, that's all.
