Are you planning your holidays and would you like to try a new experience?
Do you love cycling and enjoy the world around you from your point of view?
Then a trip on two wheels is the right solution for YOU!
The bicycle can in fact be a means to play sports, to get around to go to work, to go on weekend trips, but also to embark on exciting journeys!
Pedaling and traveling means enjoying the road, the landscapes, nature, places that otherwise you would not be able to see and appreciate on a plane, train or car…
It can certainly cost more effort, more sweat, but with a little training, the most suitable itinerary and the right equipment, it will truly be a memorable holiday!
Whether it's muscular or electric, gravel, racing or a mountain bike, the bicycle is essential for travelling. It must be a comfortable bike, with which the cyclist/traveler feels at ease considering that he will spend many kilometers on it. In recent years, cycling tourism has been very often associated with the gravel bike, precisely because of its versatility in adapting to different surfaces and the riding position of the cyclist.
We advise you to entrust yourself to a cycle-workshop before departure for a general check of the conditions of all its components, so as to avoid possible problems due precisely to the lack of pre-departure maintenance.
To travel and bring what you need with you, it is important to "set up" the bike with bags and pouches, which can be fixed to the handlebar, frame, under the saddle or to the luggage rack, positioning them so that they do not get in the way when pedaling and that they are an excellent solution to avoid weighing too much on the back with a backpack.
In addition to travel bags, you'll need water bottles, to stay hydrated, and daytime running lights, to see and be seen by cars and other cyclists on the road at any time of day!
Spending many hours in the saddle, we advise you to choose comfortable, soft and breathable clothing, which will make you feel at ease even during the stops of the journey to eat or visit. The ideal is to dress in layers, so that you can put on and take off additional items in case of sudden changes in the weather. To complete the look you need a comfortable helmet with good ventilation and a pair of comfortable and good quality shoes!
During a trip some hitches are foreseeable and normal, for this reason we advise you to bring spare inner tubes, a portable inflating pump and a multi-tool for extraordinary maintenance, to be used in case of punctures or minor interventions of mechanics…
To prevent the unexpected from stopping your journey!
Whether you decide to travel alone in company, it is important before leaving to draw an itinerary, calculate on average how many kilometers you think you want to do per day and where you would like to stop to visit, eat or sleep along the way. We advise you to carefully evaluate and inform yourself about altitudes, road conditions, expected climate, so as to be able to plan the various stages in the best possible way.
