In short, bicycles… like true champions!
A Giro d'Italia bike weighs approximately 7 kg. To be fast, cyclists and their equipment must be light... so the bicycles of the champions at the Giro d'Italia 2024 are designed down to the smallest detail to guarantee excellent performance. Geometries designed for the best aerodynamics, weight kept within the permitted limits (by regulation the minimum permitted is 6.8kg) and high quality components. The new standards of professional cycling require a carbon frame, electronic shifting and disc brake.
Tadej Pogacar, Slovenian athlete of the UAE Emirates Team born in 1998, is one of the most complete and spectacular runners in the world, he is experiencing a golden moment, of great successes especially in the Classics! In fact, he represents the new generation of cycling phenomena and we will passionately follow his debut during this edition of the Giro. Pogacar will race the various stages with the Colnago V4Rs, a perfect bicycle for tackling changes in altitude, for being fast uphill but also downhill. In fact, it was built with one goal: to win! The V4Rs features peculiar carbon laminations, studied and tested with particular attention to the areas of the frame most subject to tension. The pedaling power is transmitted to the frame immediately and effectively. Furthermore, the lightened and revised fork makes the bike much more rideable downhill, in groups and on more technical routes.
These and many other technical details make it the perfect bike for a champion like Tadej!
